It’s beautiful, neat , clean , well arranged. Also, you got everything you need from breakfast items, complimentary chocolate, towels, soaps, hair dryer and all of the household items to see through the day. It has got a great view of the mountain. It’s very convenient that it is like a center place to explore rather than staying in new Plymouth.

What we liked - EVERYTHING! It is clean, superbly equipped (more than you need), the location is great for hiking on the Taranaki or going to the sea. The town is charming and offers plenty of dining options. The accommodation was completely quiet, which we really enjoyed. We would have liked to have stayed longer!

The accommodation is beautifully-appointed. Everything was very clean and very comfortable. A lovely, cozy space on a rainy day. When the mountain peaked out from behind the clouds, we had a truly awe-inspiring view. Our hostess was generous with a welcome gift and snacks. We had everything we needed-and more!

This home is one of the most beautiful we have ever visited. And it had absolutely everything you could possibly need or want for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fantastic, every tool and device imaginable. Comfy beds, big windows, amazing views including mount Taranaki. Very quiet at night, great sleep! As good as the photos are, you have to be there to fully appreciate this amazing home and surroundings. We would love to return!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Beautiful space and lovely view of the mountain! Lots of little touches that made the stay that much better, and felt really homely. A great house to explore Taranaki and the surrounding area: Mount Taranaki and the Forgotten World Highway are right on the doorstep and New Plymouth is not far away either. Therese was a great host and has an eye for detail - we felt very comfortable in her house and would love to come back.

This place was absolutely fantastic! very well furnished, decorated and extremely clean. The property is very well thought out in regards to the use of the space. The host had put out some snacks and had a very helpful guide for local attractions and hiking trails. I would make it a point to come back to this location next time I was in the area. Also the pictures don't do the view justice. Just book it!

Therese was very accommodating. Love the hospitality. The place has a great view of Mt Taranaki. And at night we were able to capture Milkyway! Had a nice stay there. Very comfortable with electric blanket. The kitchen is fully equipped. Would definitely stay there again the next time I come to visit the area.

More than peaceful, just perfect! Don't miss out on this place if you are looking to stay in the area. Everything in the accommodation is just perfect. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay welcoming from snacks milk bread etc on arrival. We can’t recommend peaceful on Pembroke more highly. We came to hike to the base of Taranaki volcano 🌋 we couldn’t of been in a better location.

An exceptional local on the foot of Mount Taranaki - a magical place to spend your holidays. Our hostess Therese took care of many needs - water, orange juice and milk in the fridge, complimentary breakfast, snacks, chocolate, ... The view on Mount Taranaki is really magnificent ! This is a cosy and comfortable place to stay to explore the Taranaki region, and there is many things to discover and to do.
